WOYWW: Playing around

A while ago I came across a creative meme that is called What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. It is all about showing what is going on on your workdesk and is hosted by Julia from Stamping Ground. I really like participating, because it is an easy way to show you what I have been working on, and it is fun to visit some other participants :)

I thought I didn't do that many creative things this week, but when I was collecting pictures for this post, I didn't do this bad :)

I drew my bunny Ramsay for a draw for 30 minutes swap. He wasn't finished yet, but the 30 minutes were over. But that is why he has hardly any shading yet and no background ;)

I bought some used cards this week and I am planning to recycle them :) They are from Marjolein Bastin and I just love her nature cards!

I used one in this themed snailmail I made :)

This is an assignment from the Summer Sketch class I am taking by Alisa Burke. So far it is all about playing around and having fun. Here I had to draw lines with unusual materials.

This is what I used :)

And this is what happens when you open an ink bottle ;) It took 2 days before it was gone ;)

This is the assignment I did yesterday. Fill a page with color without fussing too much! I will probably use this as a background of some sort. Yesterday my new Moleskine (my first!) also arrived, but I didn't use it yet. So That will come soon :) It is one with watercolor paper. But I also need an easy watercolor set. I do have some, but those are in bottles (had to buy that brand for school) but I don't like them much. I want an easy to use watercolor kit with pans :)

  1. I can't believe you did that rabbit drawing in just half an hour, it's fabulous. I love those gorgeous cards. I love your summer paintings and it's amazing what things you can use to paint with. I recognise those fingers as mine look like that a lot of the time, that's when they aren't covered in charcoal (he he).
    Have a great week.

  3. Love your rabbit sketch, and all your super projects. Inky fingers look good to me, we were out the other night and my husband said 'have you cut yourself? or is that paint again?' yes, it was paint.

  4. Wow. Totally in awe of anyone who can draw/sketch/paint something that actually looks like the thing it is meant to be. :) And proper inky, painty fingers - well done!

    Happy WOYWW!

  9. Your rabbit is awesome. I can't draw like that at all. If I see nature inspired cards or postcards at a thrift shop, I but them. I love nature inspired art. I too am looking to buy some watercolors. Amazon has the Koi set on sale, but I want them in the tubes and they are way more. I can't get over how expensive watercolor paints, or any paints for that matter, are. You will love your Moleskine. I have 3 of them. I want the supersize one, but $40 for a journal is too much for me. Maybe someday. Enjoy working in your new journal. (((HUGS)))

  10. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw your inky fingers, as blue always seems to be the color that attacks my fingers, doesn't happen with any other color. Your rabbit and recycled cards are all fabulous! Happy WOYWW! Danie #72
