For me, falling behind is demotivating. And it is easy to give up all together because I can't keep up. However I decided to combine two prompts into one, this time. I don't think it will always work, but it might be easier for me to get caught up.<br />
<br />
This are the prompts for week 7 cover up the good stuff and week 8 repeating elements.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t1lEkOPfJ30/VQQi7iJbA9I/AAAAAAAACTg/oHxlpbHRHl0/s1600/DLP2015week0708-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t1lEkOPfJ30/VQQi7iJbA9I/AAAAAAAACTg/oHxlpbHRHl0/s1600/DLP2015week0708-01.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I didn't gesso my page, because I have a watercolor moleskine, and I did my first layer with yellow and red watercolors. The I drew a heart with pencil. I didn't use a stencil, so the heart isn't perfect, but I choose for that intentionally.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FNpdHALQZM8/VQQi7EapbpI/AAAAAAAACTc/L1-XqsxUAM8/s1600/DLP2015week0708-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FNpdHALQZM8/VQQi7EapbpI/AAAAAAAACTc/L1-XqsxUAM8/s1600/DLP2015week0708-02.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I covered everything except the heart with black gesso. (covering up the good stuff)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2bUyZpDLzRs/VQQi7VQZuYI/AAAAAAAACTo/4uiAPxoOzL0/s1600/DLP2015week0708-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2bUyZpDLzRs/VQQi7VQZuYI/AAAAAAAACTo/4uiAPxoOzL0/s1600/DLP2015week0708-03.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
With blue and yellow ecoline I worked on another paper, doodling leaves on top to cut out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rsRO-K8xY24/VQQi9PRkiHI/AAAAAAAACTw/qQ8uwH22tgg/s1600/DLP2015week0708-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rsRO-K8xY24/VQQi9PRkiHI/AAAAAAAACTw/qQ8uwH22tgg/s1600/DLP2015week0708-04.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here I was playing with composition of the leaves.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QEuFh88abcU/VQQi96fspVI/AAAAAAAACT4/D8JpzgCtNRs/s1600/DLP2015week0708-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QEuFh88abcU/VQQi96fspVI/AAAAAAAACT4/D8JpzgCtNRs/s1600/DLP2015week0708-05.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
But I decided that I needed another layer under the leaves first. So I scribbled with a white sakura pen "Eat, create, sleep, repeat". And I used a stencil and white acrylics on the left side. Then paste some leaves on top in groups here and there. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VbaQSJmlz7g/VQQi-aJxdlI/AAAAAAAACUA/wX3u-cSS1oo/s1600/DLP2015week0708-06.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VbaQSJmlz7g/VQQi-aJxdlI/AAAAAAAACUA/wX3u-cSS1oo/s1600/DLP2015week0708-06.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I finished the page with some poetry images of birds and butterflies and wrote the same phrase in black on the heart. I need to seal the page, but I always take a picture first, in case I screw up ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PGMo-IFqG4/UYeMaTPs0hI/AAAAAAAAAHA/1bOya4x_pG0/s1600/Signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PGMo-IFqG4/UYeMaTPs0hI/AAAAAAAAAHA/1bOya4x_pG0/s1600/Signature.png" /></a></div>

Maybe I will skip a week sooner or later, but that's okay. February is all about layers and that is why this post will have more pictures than previous posts. The theme was don't stop till you have enough.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pxHVLdrHpME/VOhHBGtnCiI/AAAAAAAACNQ/AP-GoRPKOmw/s1600/DLP2015week06-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pxHVLdrHpME/VOhHBGtnCiI/AAAAAAAACNQ/AP-GoRPKOmw/s1600/DLP2015week06-01.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Layer one was gesso. For layer two I tore stripes of music paper and I used washi tape. Note to self, washi tape does not stick on gesso. Sometimes I really don't like that stuff ;) I just paste this with a glue stick because I figured it would stick because I would cover it with more layers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zA3A5wfxzw8/VOhHBEyLwaI/AAAAAAAACNI/ZuPkeS79Ktc/s1600/DLP2015week06-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zA3A5wfxzw8/VOhHBEyLwaI/AAAAAAAACNI/ZuPkeS79Ktc/s1600/DLP2015week06-02.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Layer three is some more gesso. Applied it with a sponge here and used the corners to get the texture.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wo1c-vPqcxg/VOhHBUcSHxI/AAAAAAAACNM/MjEhAJLm7dU/s1600/DLP2015week06-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wo1c-vPqcxg/VOhHBUcSHxI/AAAAAAAACNM/MjEhAJLm7dU/s1600/DLP2015week06-03.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Layer four: Some acrylics, also with a sponge. This is burned sienna with white.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W18Mw6OrUFQ/VOhHDRuC2mI/AAAAAAAACNg/243aDwsUc3A/s1600/DLP2015week06-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W18Mw6OrUFQ/VOhHDRuC2mI/AAAAAAAACNg/243aDwsUc3A/s1600/DLP2015week06-04.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Layer five: I used a dolly as a stencil but it didn't show as much as I hoped. Oh well, moving on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_cjpqGHDJck/VOhHD9qUaEI/AAAAAAAACNs/ZLU9WTc44UM/s1600/DLP2015week06-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_cjpqGHDJck/VOhHD9qUaEI/AAAAAAAACNs/ZLU9WTc44UM/s1600/DLP2015week06-05.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For layer 6 I used the back of a kraft envelope and I stamped flowers on it in copper. Cut and pasted them and doodled around them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-e4_RBNH6uFE/VOhHD6FrtjI/AAAAAAAACNk/Bg_smjxeSm8/s1600/DLP2015week06-06.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-e4_RBNH6uFE/VOhHD6FrtjI/AAAAAAAACNk/Bg_smjxeSm8/s1600/DLP2015week06-06.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Still layer 6, the other side. On Facebook someone made these beautiful dandelions (I can't find who because it vashied in the timeline) but I thought they would suit this page really well. They are done with the back of a chopstick to create this texture. The credit goes totally to her. And I need to practice more, but I love the technique.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3lKv3VS4BhI/VOhHE_ttbEI/AAAAAAAACN4/SOvU5evq_Ig/s1600/DLP2015week06-07.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3lKv3VS4BhI/VOhHE_ttbEI/AAAAAAAACN4/SOvU5evq_Ig/s1600/DLP2015week06-07.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I pasted 1 word on it: intuition. I choose this word because this is how you know when to stop. Because this layout is really subdued, I didn't want to add to much. So only 6 layers this time. Another annoying thing is that these stickers don't stick on their own as well. So I used a glue stick at first. And then sealed the letters with bookbinders glue.<br />
<br />
I have some ideas for week 7 already. Now I need to find the time and health to make it happen ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PGMo-IFqG4/UYeMaTPs0hI/AAAAAAAAAHA/1bOya4x_pG0/s1600/Signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PGMo-IFqG4/UYeMaTPs0hI/AAAAAAAAAHA/1bOya4x_pG0/s1600/Signature.png" /></a></div>

Now, I needed to look up what underpaper actually was. But it seems to be the paper that you use to protect your work space or other pages from paint etc.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5nrIiNCJM5Y/VNmvVYdJ9eI/AAAAAAAACLA/3HEGxWQLSUE/s1600/DLP2015week05-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5nrIiNCJM5Y/VNmvVYdJ9eI/AAAAAAAACLA/3HEGxWQLSUE/s1600/DLP2015week05-01.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I didn't have any underpaper, so I used an old watercolor exercise for this page. I tore it up and pasted it on the page.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aXW2b_ac53s/VNmvVU2YZEI/AAAAAAAACLE/5s1uNggtf9Q/s1600/DLP2015week05-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aXW2b_ac53s/VNmvVU2YZEI/AAAAAAAACLE/5s1uNggtf9Q/s1600/DLP2015week05-02.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I had no clue what to do next. Because the new prompt was already up at that time, I decided to just doodle over it and see what that brings. I used a stabilo power felt tip for this, but it started to bleed a bit. Therefore I didn't like certain bits of the page, especially in the middle. I covered it up a bit with gesso and yellow Amsterdam acrylics. But of course you can still see it, so I decided to go with the flow and print the sentence "You can't hide what lies beneath" and call it done.<br />
<br />
February will be all about layering, but I still need to start on that one. Looking forward to it though.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Not too much though, because I already worked on the prompt for week 5 as well. Sadly I forgot to take step by step pictures for this week. Click on the link if you want to know more about the <a href="http://www.arttothe5th.com/">Documented Life Project</a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fzAD6idGVdM/VM9S6UsaS9I/AAAAAAAACIw/VU6CnXzxfo0/s1600/DLP2015week04-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fzAD6idGVdM/VM9S6UsaS9I/AAAAAAAACIw/VU6CnXzxfo0/s1600/DLP2015week04-01.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The creative prompt was writing and the journal prompt was "Words with Friends".<br />
I used some old letters from my penpals as a base for this page. I put some gesso on top with a sponge to tone the text down a bit and after that was dry I put two colors of acrylic paint on top, also with a sponge. I spared the cute parts of the stationery used, because I thought the images would be nice to keep. I pasted some used stamps on top and added the quote.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way . . . “<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-p6g6Els5zfg/VL97ROWTHFI/AAAAAAAACGk/j17hwSeLWTg/s1600/DLP2015week03-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-p6g6Els5zfg/VL97ROWTHFI/AAAAAAAACGk/j17hwSeLWTg/s1600/DLP2015week03-01.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I didn't work with layers like last week. But I did prep my page with gesso. I looked at a painting from O'Keeffe for inspiration and I used oil crayons, baby wipes and my fingers to blend in the colors. The O'Keeffe quote is a bit long and because I only have about an A5 page, I didn't have room for such a large quote. So I choose this quote from the Pocahontas movie instead. I used a stencil and my stabilo 88 pens to put the quote on there. I am quite happy with this page :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PGMo-IFqG4/UYeMaTPs0hI/AAAAAAAAAHA/1bOya4x_pG0/s1600/Signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PGMo-IFqG4/UYeMaTPs0hI/AAAAAAAAAHA/1bOya4x_pG0/s1600/Signature.png" /></a></div>

There was a nasty cold in my way which prevented me from doing much. The prompts for these week were Gesso and a Quote from Mary Shelley: The beginning is always today.<br />
<br />
I choose to try a reverse stencil technique from this <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ViXCFddlZ_I#!">YouTube video</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uYqPX5Gkau4/VLeCQSptt8I/AAAAAAAACEM/-kZ2ISSpP4A/s1600/DLP2015week02-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uYqPX5Gkau4/VLeCQSptt8I/AAAAAAAACEM/-kZ2ISSpP4A/s1600/DLP2015week02-01.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
You first prime your page with Gesso. Then add a layer of acrylic paint. Place a stencil on top and spray some water over the stencil. Leave it to sit for about a minute.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fxf5Frp3i3M/VLeCQmS95-I/AAAAAAAACEQ/RDhb2972_lc/s1600/DLP2015week02-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fxf5Frp3i3M/VLeCQmS95-I/AAAAAAAACEQ/RDhb2972_lc/s1600/DLP2015week02-02.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Go over the page with a baby wipe and you will get this result. As you can see I need to practice more, but I love the effect.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hd11ebxsVMk/VLeCQdEotRI/AAAAAAAACEU/1NkMxAGanxk/s1600/DLP2015week02-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hd11ebxsVMk/VLeCQdEotRI/AAAAAAAACEU/1NkMxAGanxk/s1600/DLP2015week02-03.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted to do something with first steps for the journaling prompt but it took me a couple of days to put this together. I leaved through some magazines for inspiration and I finally took out the scrabble tiles for part of the quote. I traced the socks from a pattern I had laying around. They are actually witches socks from a Halloween craft magazine. I used some bubble wrap on the background, then pasted on the paper bits and finished it with acrylic white paint for the legs and the rest of the quote. I traced some bubble with a white pen and the letters etc with black pen.<br />
<br />

It has been so long! I do plan to post some things from last year too, but I want to start with a new project I am participating in. Quite last minute I found out about the <a href="http://www.art5academy.com/">documented life project</a>. It are weekly art journal prompts in a classroom and it is free. I am participating in my watercolor moleskine.<br />
<br />
In the first week, the art prompt was book pages and the journal prompt was: be your own goalkeeper. The theme for January over all is: the blank page.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0IlvBx57fZs/VKpB0Yia43I/AAAAAAAACBw/H0gBuloU3xg/s1600/DLP2015week01-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0IlvBx57fZs/VKpB0Yia43I/AAAAAAAACBw/H0gBuloU3xg/s1600/DLP2015week01-01.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So I started with cutting out some text from an animal encyclopaedia I had laying around and paste that on paper. I made a border with oil crayons.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OusQKHYzCjk/VKpB0Uw24bI/AAAAAAAACB0/biGc4hEdx0A/s1600/DLP2015week01-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OusQKHYzCjk/VKpB0Uw24bI/AAAAAAAACB0/biGc4hEdx0A/s1600/DLP2015week01-02.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I painted over everything with watercolors, because I knew that this would keep my borders in tact. The top letters are stickers that I normally use for Project Life and the bottom letters are a stencil that I traced with a fineliner pen. Last, I used some stamps for more decoration and that was that.<br />
<br />
As for my goals: this sums it up quite nicely.<br />
I love to eat good food. Tasty food makes a whole lot of difference in my world. This does not mean junk food, mind you. But good home cooking and baking. I get cranky when I don't eat good food. And the whole diet wagon pisses me off, so this is the rebel side of me ;)<br />
Play, be creative, is my second goal. I need to make time to do this and not only my homework, just because I have to.<br />
And last: do the things I love. I am easily stressed out and I need a lot of me time. Relax, relax, relax. If I don't my body starts acting up more and I have to do everything that I can, to stay healthy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PGMo-IFqG4/UYeMaTPs0hI/AAAAAAAAAHA/1bOya4x_pG0/s1600/Signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PGMo-IFqG4/UYeMaTPs0hI/AAAAAAAAAHA/1bOya4x_pG0/s1600/Signature.png" /></a></div>

<br />
A while ago I came across a creative meme that is called What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. It is all about showing what is going on on your workdesk and is hosted by Julia from <a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.nl/">Stamping Ground</a>. I really like participating, because it is an easy way to show you what I have been working on, and it is fun to visit some other participants :)<br />
<br />
My workdesk isn't always at home. Once a month I have a lesson at school. Today I am sharing pictures of my last school day and my workdesk there. We were learning a technique with fine sand (the one use you use in a birdcage.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zhHayEz0i4A/UyAytkMeCrI/AAAAAAAAA98/hUQLXALiA-I/s1600/Week11-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zhHayEz0i4A/UyAytkMeCrI/AAAAAAAAA98/hUQLXALiA-I/s1600/Week11-01.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
We had to paint a colorful background at home to work on. I choose spring colors.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l9DFfx6L1Wc/UyAytZII_UI/AAAAAAAAA90/mthzuSAFDv4/s1600/Week11-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l9DFfx6L1Wc/UyAytZII_UI/AAAAAAAAA90/mthzuSAFDv4/s1600/Week11-02.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then we had to mix the sand with gesso. Put a thick layer on there and make a pattern in it to bring back some color.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dVzxI9j5Hw0/UyAyttc9YBI/AAAAAAAAA94/vSE7lgv8nHg/s1600/Week11-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dVzxI9j5Hw0/UyAyttc9YBI/AAAAAAAAA94/vSE7lgv8nHg/s1600/Week11-03.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Paint to accent the pattern.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h8JxUrMl2ug/UyAyuYVwhQI/AAAAAAAAA-M/bdjUlSkneGk/s1600/Week11-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h8JxUrMl2ug/UyAyuYVwhQI/AAAAAAAAA-M/bdjUlSkneGk/s1600/Week11-04.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ab1WCVGF7zA/UyAyvV7FE7I/AAAAAAAAA-Q/mT_WBWbyDuM/s1600/Week11-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ab1WCVGF7zA/UyAyvV7FE7I/AAAAAAAAA-Q/mT_WBWbyDuM/s1600/Week11-05.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Finished product.<br />
<br />
It is an interesting technique but very messy. I don't have pictures of the actual process because I didn't dare to take out my phone ;)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br />
This is getting old, but I have been off the radar yet again. The thing is that I only want to join WOYWW when I can actually visit some people, and with my failing health in the past months this wasn't rea;;y the case. That, and I have yoga classes on Wednesday for a few months now. This makes things hard to combine. Anyway, I have been doing homework and Project Life, but I will only show Project Life now. I might show my homework in another update, but I can't promise anything.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9ChLF3Yjq-g/UwRwrI13H2I/AAAAAAAAA4w/2lNsNYvgi4Q/s1600/Week08-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9ChLF3Yjq-g/UwRwrI13H2I/AAAAAAAAA4w/2lNsNYvgi4Q/s1600/Week08-01.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Week 3 was the week that my health started to act up. I spend most time in bed.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OQope3BElRg/UwRwrFaPWNI/AAAAAAAAA4o/nY5j6XuoJ8A/s1600/Week08-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OQope3BElRg/UwRwrFaPWNI/AAAAAAAAA4o/nY5j6XuoJ8A/s1600/Week08-02.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
In Week 4, I still wasn't much stronger, but we (mostly Nick) tried some new recipes in the kitchen.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Y8pYsmNxG3c/UwRwrQ12fGI/AAAAAAAAA4s/1wT65Wh_vdM/s1600/Week08-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Y8pYsmNxG3c/UwRwrQ12fGI/AAAAAAAAA4s/1wT65Wh_vdM/s1600/Week08-03.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Week 5 we had a dinner with all the volunteers from Abunai!, which was fun and eventful and it was Imbolc.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--Z4St8VRSG8/UwRwsRs-_4I/AAAAAAAAA5A/K92cW9D3has/s1600/Week08-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--Z4St8VRSG8/UwRwsRs-_4I/AAAAAAAAA5A/K92cW9D3has/s1600/Week08-04.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
In week 6 there was more food, and preparations for a party. I forgot to make pics of that party....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-G66DNG0mYzo/UwRwsjSwPKI/AAAAAAAAA5E/Wvmt886PrUE/s1600/Week08-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-G66DNG0mYzo/UwRwsjSwPKI/AAAAAAAAA5E/Wvmt886PrUE/s1600/Week08-05.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Week 7 was the last work week from my BF as a mail man. Due to a strange construction in Dutch law, he can come back in 3 months. Our dog Rinoa turned 2.<br />
<br />
I am enjoying Project Life but I try to stick to the original concept, that it has to be fast and easy. Trying not to want it too perfect or whatever. Or else I won't stick with it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
So, I have been away for about a month. The holidays swept me away and after that a nice flu, which I am still recovering from. But right after new years, I had my desk really organised!! It still it. I am proud ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TcPW0cWBgWg/UtZllAPpNGI/AAAAAAAAAwg/U2DOOW72zgE/s1600/Week03-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TcPW0cWBgWg/UtZllAPpNGI/AAAAAAAAAwg/U2DOOW72zgE/s320/Week03-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I bought some new storage boxes. The 2 big blue ones are new. The top one has all my project life things and the bottom all my washi and deco tape.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BLX1fOIS3f8/UtZllMwy1uI/AAAAAAAAAwc/NohDcxRV4dU/s1600/Week03-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BLX1fOIS3f8/UtZllMwy1uI/AAAAAAAAAwc/NohDcxRV4dU/s320/Week03-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And here is my first week of Project Life. Except for the top left card, which is from the winter set, the rest are from a crafting block. The January card is a freebie.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M9dOpwm_2Gc/UtZllPnnknI/AAAAAAAAAwY/LciBz90E4V4/s1600/Week03-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M9dOpwm_2Gc/UtZllPnnknI/AAAAAAAAAwY/LciBz90E4V4/s320/Week03-03.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And my 2nd week :) These cards are all from the Winter set. I need more design A layouts as shown above. This was the only one I got because I got a mixed bag. But I think I like these best. But I will have to try the others before I am sure. Expect to see more of this here for the next year :)<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-olJeTp0d6eA/UqgxIq7_d1I/AAAAAAAAAqA/4I0s-ej8nSo/s1600/Week50-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-olJeTp0d6eA/UqgxIq7_d1I/AAAAAAAAAqA/4I0s-ej8nSo/s320/Week50-01.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
This is a piece I did for my expressionism homework. I hate to paint humans, but that was the assignment ;) I am not displeased with the final result, but I rather paint nature or something, haha. This is oil paint on cardboard with a black gesso background. I painted this over a week ago and the oil paint is still wet. I might need to dry blow it :S<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cV63sFMJQ3s/UqgxITRwGiI/AAAAAAAAAp8/27dfG1tlYdU/s1600/Week50-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cV63sFMJQ3s/UqgxITRwGiI/AAAAAAAAAp8/27dfG1tlYdU/s320/Week50-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I made some red-white themed snail-mail. I think this might be the last of the year, with x-mas coming up and all. I love working on stuff like this when I have some time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H3-OqJaOuZc/UqgxIfaqJ6I/AAAAAAAAAp4/QcA4r_QPh3Y/s1600/Week50-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H3-OqJaOuZc/UqgxIfaqJ6I/AAAAAAAAAp4/QcA4r_QPh3Y/s320/Week50-03.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I also did another stamp collage, this time with the winter / x-mas stamps I collected from last year. Those are really fun to make :) And I have to use my stamps in some way, because I have way too many at this point ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XISX3caC9lg/UqgxJDSO1nI/AAAAAAAAAqE/U4tSeuX6rv0/s1600/Week50-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XISX3caC9lg/UqgxJDSO1nI/AAAAAAAAAqE/U4tSeuX6rv0/s320/Week50-04.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Lastly, I made some wintery cards for my Project Life that I am starting in the new year. I just traced original PL cards and this paper is sturdy enough. I am probably going to pimp them more later on. I am looking for Project Life blogs to follow for inspiration, so if any of you know fun PL blogs, please let me know :) I am still a bit overwhelmed with it all.<br />
<br />
Have a nice Wednesday all :) I will be hopping by before my yoga class :)<br />

A while ago I came across a creative meme that is called What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. It is all about showing what is going on on your workdesk and is hosted by Julia from <a href="http://stamping-ground.blogspot.nl/">Stamping Ground</a>. I really like participating, because it is an easy way to show you what I have been working on, and it is fun to visit some other participants :)<br />
<br />
I worked on a huge (for me) painting this week and did some small things :) Nothing big, because I put must of my time in finishing the painting I started at school.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5oTBuiltRKw/UpWzku4R4dI/AAAAAAAAAm0/B3iG0yryLSo/s1600/Week48-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5oTBuiltRKw/UpWzku4R4dI/AAAAAAAAAm0/B3iG0yryLSo/s320/Week48-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I get a lot of stamps and I always cut those from the envelope for creative use later. This is my first fully collaged stamp postcard. Before I used them for added decoration. I like this as well :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TLzgu5YQ-5w/UpWzlHkeXTI/AAAAAAAAAm8/V5ZodcWmY2s/s1600/Week48-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TLzgu5YQ-5w/UpWzlHkeXTI/AAAAAAAAAm8/V5ZodcWmY2s/s320/Week48-02.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the re-make for the ATC swap, because the previous one never arrived. I don't like to make the exact same thing twice, so I went with something totally different :) Hopefully it will arrive this time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cpyuF7Q6yGo/UpWzlPNAWaI/AAAAAAAAAm4/YXdceqneFl4/s1600/Week48-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cpyuF7Q6yGo/UpWzlPNAWaI/AAAAAAAAAm4/YXdceqneFl4/s320/Week48-03.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
And here is my 50x60 painting. Theme is expressionism. I love expressionism, but the base we had to work from wasn't really my thing. We had to sketch 2 versions of a Rembrandt painting, and then capture an emotion we felt from the painting in our own painting. Well, I think I made it my own, but it was not my most fun project to work on. I am not unhappy with the final result though.<br />
<br />

<br />
I wasn't here for a few weeks, because I just didn't feel like blogging, or pretty much anything because my energy level was so low, and I had trouble keeping up as it was. I did manage to fit in some creativity, apart from the required homework ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MnpyVyg3QcQ/UoyIaEzXKLI/AAAAAAAAAlM/L3ra7fv0lLk/s1600/Week47-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MnpyVyg3QcQ/UoyIaEzXKLI/AAAAAAAAAlM/L3ra7fv0lLk/s320/Week47-01.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
I had to make some more impressionism homework, so I did a still life of fruits. I had some trouble with the background because I didn't want to paint by eye, because all the mess in the house didn't need to on the painting. So I tried something free form. Very un-impressionism ;)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hcvxPJDTlTw/UoyIZ8ePq3I/AAAAAAAAAlE/aJBRqR_zJAA/s1600/Week47-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hcvxPJDTlTw/UoyIZ8ePq3I/AAAAAAAAAlE/aJBRqR_zJAA/s320/Week47-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And some mushrooms. I just love mushrooms :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7tMWBRn5GV0/UoyIaC0L8mI/AAAAAAAAAlI/I4OK6QdFXiw/s1600/Week47-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7tMWBRn5GV0/UoyIaC0L8mI/AAAAAAAAAlI/I4OK6QdFXiw/s320/Week47-03.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
I also made this ATC a few weeks ago, but waited with posting this before it was received. Sadly it never arrived. I am now working on a new one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JiJ4cK59DO8/UoyIari7EcI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/XI0K5SJhjFE/s1600/Week47-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JiJ4cK59DO8/UoyIari7EcI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/XI0K5SJhjFE/s320/Week47-04.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And I made a postcard collage for a swap. I did the backgrounds way back. I still have 3 of these backgrounds left which I will turn into future collages as well :) Well this is it from me, short and sweet :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This week it is short and sweet because the only thing I have to show you is the finished painting that I started at school.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wlgAEo7hnYY/UnDL57tLoVI/AAAAAAAAAis/PV4nwMtggK8/s1600/Week44-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wlgAEo7hnYY/UnDL57tLoVI/AAAAAAAAAis/PV4nwMtggK8/s320/Week44-01.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
I didn't take a close up because it is impressionism and that can better be viewed from a bit of a distance.<br />
On the background my messy desk and my autumn trees wallpaper. I did make an ATC this week as well, but I can't show that yet. But other than that I did mainly read. I had this huge book about van Gogh that I wanted to finish. Anyway, today I will do more impressionism for my homework, but first a bit of desk hopping ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Last week I didn't participate, because I was at the museum looking at an art expo. No pictures of that, because I am quite sure I am not allowed to put those on the web. But I saw great murals, photography, bird prints, and some other cool stuff. Time well spend :) Anyway, back to this week.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2XS8DuE_KL0/UmeD4YylJ5I/AAAAAAAAAhc/aEcD_8XZcXs/s1600/Week43-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2XS8DuE_KL0/UmeD4YylJ5I/AAAAAAAAAhc/aEcD_8XZcXs/s320/Week43-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is an apple themed snail mail I made. I sometimes love working with a theme. I made a small apple garland to send with the apple goodies I had :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CClCEPU7R9g/UmeD4QzNBuI/AAAAAAAAAhg/BsgpMUOHcAI/s1600/Week43-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CClCEPU7R9g/UmeD4QzNBuI/AAAAAAAAAhg/BsgpMUOHcAI/s320/Week43-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This ATC I made for a swap on swapbot. I am getting more and more comfy doing small zentangles like this. I do like ATC size best, because I am still too impatient for bigger ones. The design is inspired by <a href="http://kathyahrens.deviantart.com/art/Zentangle-Leaf-Doodle-Drawing-308265895">this pin</a>, so also submitting this for the <a href="http://www.lovelaughterinsanity.com/2013/10/pin-it-and-do-it-october-2013-starting.html">Pin it and Do it Challenge</a> :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Yesterday was my second school day of the year and it was my first go with oil paint. We had to do the impressions like Monet. We had to bring 3 pictures with different light of the same location. This is the parc behind my apartment.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1cupnhXjBsk/UmeD5jLbErI/AAAAAAAAAhs/TwHaIWu9ic8/s1600/Week43-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1cupnhXjBsk/UmeD5jLbErI/AAAAAAAAAhs/TwHaIWu9ic8/s320/Week43-04.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
This is where I am at now, not finished yet. It will probably work more on it today and see if I can finish this.<br />
But first, some desk hopping :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Sg2sLozsAjU/UlkHNlTXCLI/AAAAAAAAAgU/3xr7tEOR3iw/s1600/dewey-300x300.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Sg2sLozsAjU/UlkHNlTXCLI/AAAAAAAAAgU/3xr7tEOR3iw/s1600/dewey-300x300.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
While I am not reviewing books any more and won't be any time soon, I still read. I have to say it feels so much more relaxing without having the pressure of reviewing everything I read. So I made the right choice :)<br />
But I still like to participate in the readathon! Never heard of the 24-hour readathon? <a href="http://24hourreadathon.com/">Click here for more info</a> :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jGejRF4sMLA/UlkHNw_CalI/AAAAAAAAAgY/OiTXI-BvQno/s1600/ReadathonPile05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jGejRF4sMLA/UlkHNw_CalI/AAAAAAAAAgY/OiTXI-BvQno/s320/ReadathonPile05.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Instead of having a whole pile, I just have these two books. I never finish more than 2 books anyway.<br />
Besides I am not going in for the full 24 hours anyway. I have so many more things I feel like doing, haha. But I am looking forward to reading Alice. Can you believe I never read it before?<br />
<br />
-------------------------------<br />
<br />
Hour 1:<br />
<br />
<b>1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? </b><br />
From Nijmegen, the Netherlands<br />
<b>2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? </b><br />
Alice in Wonderland. It was time I finally read it!<br />
<b>3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?</b><br />
I have bought grapes, which I will dip in cream cheese!<br />
<b>4) Tell us a little something about yourself! </b><br />
This is the first readathon that I will attempt while having a dog!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W4AJa1gAhBM/Ulk5ajUdQJI/AAAAAAAAAgs/RssH3e4aOBM/s1600/Reading+Companion+06.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W4AJa1gAhBM/Ulk5ajUdQJI/AAAAAAAAAgs/RssH3e4aOBM/s320/Reading+Companion+06.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?</b><br />
I won't read full time. I will keep this nice and simple. Haha. I will only read on Saturday probably. It is 2PM in the afternoon when we start. So I will just read for how long I feel like ;) I like the social aspect of the readathon best so I will check in to see the mini challenges :)<br />
<br />
------------------------------<br />
Hour 2: Read 61 pages in Alice in Wonderland<br />
<br />
Mini Challenge:<br />
Choose a song that suits your reading :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/4dZH9a67SZE?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
The Unbirthday song from Alice in Wonderland is suiting. No idea which version this is though, can't listen to it because my boyfriend has an important Skype meeting.<br />
------------------------------<br />
Hour 5: Read until page 91 in Alice in Wonderland, had dinner and watched the first episode of Once Wonderland.<br />
No mini challenges this round, because I am too lazy to puzzle, or do poetry atm ;)<br />
------------------------------<br />
Hour 7: Finished Alice in Wonderland, but I am not really in the mood for starting my 2nd book. I picked a great day to be in a reading slump. But that is okay, as with all things lately. I just do things for relaxation as long as it feels like fun. So now going to watch TV ;)<br />
And just now I realised why I am too restless to read.. I forgot to take my ADHD meds. Haha. Can't take them this late or else I can't sleep. Oh well ;)<br />
------------------------------<br />
Hours 8 and beyond.<br />
Watched TV, slept, did some baking this morning because I have a friend over later. So I did a lot, except reading. Yeah.... this is the least productive readathon I had like ever. But I am not going to feel bad about it. It is for relaxation and it is what it is.<br />
------------------------------<br />
Updates will be here.<br />
<br />

<br />
I saw this on a Dutch blog called <a href="http://postfabriek.wordpress.com/2013/10/02/een-kaartjes-set-opleuken-a-la-dana/#more-2356">De Postfabriek</a> last week. It is all about pimping postcards and creating more writing space! Easy and fun! I personally think this works best with bun illustrated postcard. Go have a look. There are a lot of posts about pimping a postcard there. Even thought the blog is in Dutch, there are a lot of images to inspire. Today is world post day! So send out a card! :D<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HgVKgF_yEZA/UkvgKqTvUHI/AAAAAAAAAe0/p51M-UBIBWI/s1600/October+2013+Pin+it.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="197" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HgVKgF_yEZA/UkvgKqTvUHI/AAAAAAAAAe0/p51M-UBIBWI/s320/October+2013+Pin+it.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The project above counts for Pin it and Do it. Please head over to Trish from <a href="http://www.lovelaughterinsanity.com/">Love, Laughter and a Touch of Insanity</a>, for the Pin it and Do it Challenge! It is so fun! I participated many times before :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8TTB97-X0Qw/UlUTjIIAFmI/AAAAAAAAAfc/yn3EGuRJ5h8/s1600/Week41-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8TTB97-X0Qw/UlUTjIIAFmI/AAAAAAAAAfc/yn3EGuRJ5h8/s320/Week41-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This week I had a visitor on my desk. Luckily the painting was already dry!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CILE4y5VkwE/UlUTjbRjgpI/AAAAAAAAAfg/L49gG-qWGyk/s1600/Week41-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CILE4y5VkwE/UlUTjbRjgpI/AAAAAAAAAfg/L49gG-qWGyk/s320/Week41-03.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is another homework project. Blops of ink on wet paper. When it is dry I need to look what I see in it and work on that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wpefNUk2ShQ/UlUTjd-0GgI/AAAAAAAAAfk/RBJjXJjmMLE/s1600/Week41-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wpefNUk2ShQ/UlUTjd-0GgI/AAAAAAAAAfk/RBJjXJjmMLE/s320/Week41-04.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
As seen here. This is one I already worked on with colored pencils. I darken certain parts or lighten them to create more contrast. I could work on it lots more. But these are supposed to be quick intuitive paintings. The leaves are brooches that I bought last week :D Also: the ones that I don't see anything in, I use as background for ATC's or make tags from it. So nothing goes to waste :)<br />

<br />
I have been very creative in the past week, and while I don't really like autumn because it is getting colder, the autumn colors are splendid for crafting :) I even made some autumn decoration.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_GtgEEUsVKY/Ukvc4ByR4LI/AAAAAAAAAeE/Af52kl9Yyv0/s1600/Week40-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_GtgEEUsVKY/Ukvc4ByR4LI/AAAAAAAAAeE/Af52kl9Yyv0/s320/Week40-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I made one more autumn card :) I am planning to make some more, but I am waiting on new 3D sheets I ordered. The ones I used so far, are from last year. The autumn cards will be going out in swaps and to penpals :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1q6tYwKmuEk/Ukvc4IL5HGI/AAAAAAAAAeA/hfC_JyyVuA8/s1600/Week40-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1q6tYwKmuEk/Ukvc4IL5HGI/AAAAAAAAAeA/hfC_JyyVuA8/s320/Week40-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ljYOUcN5vpc/Ukvc4vJlwaI/AAAAAAAAAeM/Da0-ewtP6H8/s1600/Week40-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ljYOUcN5vpc/Ukvc4vJlwaI/AAAAAAAAAeM/Da0-ewtP6H8/s320/Week40-04.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Last weekend I had some friends over for a autumn related weekend. We decided to make a fall wreath. I saw it on Pinterest and I really wanted to make one. I didn't hang mine because the moss can fall off, because I can't glue every little bit on the wreath, but I like it on the table with a candle in the middle. Don't you think the tealight in the candle holder looks a bit like an apple this way?<br />
There are a lot of links to wreaths on Pinterest but <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/pin/287456388688952423/">this is the one that inspired me</a>. Which is funny because it isn't really a wreath at all ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HgVKgF_yEZA/UkvgKqTvUHI/AAAAAAAAAe0/p51M-UBIBWI/s1600/October+2013+Pin+it.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="197" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HgVKgF_yEZA/UkvgKqTvUHI/AAAAAAAAAe0/p51M-UBIBWI/s320/October+2013+Pin+it.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u41kFRX1Cs8/Ukvc44UgDOI/AAAAAAAAAeU/t1nEu5K4XR8/s1600/Week40-06.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u41kFRX1Cs8/Ukvc44UgDOI/AAAAAAAAAeU/t1nEu5K4XR8/s320/Week40-06.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And lastly, this is my homework. I had to make a couple of fast paintings on music and see if there is a theme. Then I have to make a bigger painting with that theme in mind. It is all intuitive painting. Obviously, the painting isn't done yet, but this is my progress so far. To be continued ;)<br />

<br />
This week school started again, and because I do a creative education, I will share my school related projects here as well :) But I also did some crafting at home.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2s7k7IBaodw/UkKdl5qhqtI/AAAAAAAAAcg/v-XDv2hcuTQ/s1600/Week39-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2s7k7IBaodw/UkKdl5qhqtI/AAAAAAAAAcg/v-XDv2hcuTQ/s320/Week39-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j00TIB4gW6Y/UkKdl0eEMlI/AAAAAAAAAco/X-W3BQ5C5bA/s1600/Week39-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j00TIB4gW6Y/UkKdl0eEMlI/AAAAAAAAAco/X-W3BQ5C5bA/s320/Week39-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VugKP1sOKbk/UkKdmEFI_4I/AAAAAAAAAck/S8hpZ3qjC4w/s1600/Week39-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VugKP1sOKbk/UkKdmEFI_4I/AAAAAAAAAck/S8hpZ3qjC4w/s320/Week39-03.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I made these 3 autumn cards! I love autumn related cards and I think that people don't send them enough :) So I plan to send some out myself this year :D The bottom card is more a dark red btw, but the daylight made it look like hot pink, haha. If someone wants to trade, the two bottom ones I can still send out :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-n4Iyl0tN73I/UkKdm9arIHI/AAAAAAAAAcs/6_iQPhzh064/s1600/Week39-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-n4Iyl0tN73I/UkKdm9arIHI/AAAAAAAAAcs/6_iQPhzh064/s320/Week39-04.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This picture is made at school. The assignment was to paint intuitive. You had to use only dark colors to paint your shadow side. We worked with acrylics and we had to work in layers, so we had to thin our paint with a medium. I never used a medium before, but it was fun to work this way!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3zLJOWlGj7Y/UkKdm1nPMII/AAAAAAAAAdI/ma3GYOdmSSg/s1600/Week39-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3zLJOWlGj7Y/UkKdm1nPMII/AAAAAAAAAdI/ma3GYOdmSSg/s320/Week39-05.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
In the afternoon we had to bring back the light. But working light over dark is quite the challenge!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZT0Hen-AhLM/UkKdnIHga_I/AAAAAAAAAc8/kLMlf1CVNdQ/s1600/Week39-06.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZT0Hen-AhLM/UkKdnIHga_I/AAAAAAAAAc8/kLMlf1CVNdQ/s320/Week39-06.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the end result! I took these pictures this morning. I did bring more harmony in the painting by using only nuances of blue, purple and dark red in the background top layer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GN97M789Z54/UkKdnl10C8I/AAAAAAAAAdA/50zu-DEVXSo/s1600/Week39-07.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GN97M789Z54/UkKdnl10C8I/AAAAAAAAAdA/50zu-DEVXSo/s320/Week39-07.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
But the fun thing is, that you still see the other colors coming through. My phone has troubles catching all the colors though. I need to take better quality pictures from the painting, but I wanted to post them this week already :) But I think the 2nd pic does show the color nuances :) From now on, you can expect homework assignments again in WOYWW :) <br />

<br />
Last week I didn't post because I didn't do anything creative at all. Well I have been creative in the kitchen because I am participating in Vegan Month of Food. But that does result in less creative time. But, I did manage to do stuff this week :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pH49odDNAKU/UjlwrqxHlQI/AAAAAAAAAbM/Cegm5ty8uiE/s1600/Week38-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pH49odDNAKU/UjlwrqxHlQI/AAAAAAAAAbM/Cegm5ty8uiE/s320/Week38-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Above is a doodled postcard swap. I saw the idea on a blog to package a postcard base in plastic and write on the plastic. But I do need to practice with it, because my lettering is too small.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v_k-CyQIHsI/UjlwrjKrEGI/AAAAAAAAAbI/anUMc7HvpDA/s1600/Week38-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v_k-CyQIHsI/UjlwrjKrEGI/AAAAAAAAAbI/anUMc7HvpDA/s320/Week38-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is an order that I did at Oktoberdots, one of my favorite webshops. I love the style on the postcards, so I order there on a regular basis. Btw: if anyone is up for postcard swaps, e-mail me (e-mail is in the side column). I am in a bit of a rough spot atm, and mail really cheers me up :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xVNP1Ub-TIY/UjlwrhLD4ZI/AAAAAAAAAbo/Y2K8r7sQcnQ/s1600/Week38-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xVNP1Ub-TIY/UjlwrhLD4ZI/AAAAAAAAAbo/Y2K8r7sQcnQ/s320/Week38-03.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I also made a squirrel themed snailmail this week :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sbhuhz3v92E/UjlwsuaLG4I/AAAAAAAAAbc/r8CEl6D2vdA/s1600/Week38-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sbhuhz3v92E/UjlwsuaLG4I/AAAAAAAAAbc/r8CEl6D2vdA/s320/Week38-04.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is a sketch I made from the flowers we had. I sometimes just love to make rough sketches like these. This is done in soft pastels :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-564N1KHeegs/UjlwtNGerAI/AAAAAAAAAbY/GpYwB85_5kQ/s1600/Week38-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-564N1KHeegs/UjlwtNGerAI/AAAAAAAAAbY/GpYwB85_5kQ/s320/Week38-05.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Lastly I made this owl ATC for a swap. Those ATC backgrounds are all used now, so I have to create new ones soon, to make another series.<br />
<br />

<br />
Only 2 projects this week to show and this time it is my fault entirely. I entered the realm of Final Fantasy XIV, a highly addicting video game, and this has limited my creative time. I don't mind so much because I am enjoying myself, but I try to stay creative at least a bit ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OB9lOur0nDg/UibjikWkHtI/AAAAAAAAAZQ/lfL-DsvvNTk/s1600/Week37-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OB9lOur0nDg/UibjikWkHtI/AAAAAAAAAZQ/lfL-DsvvNTk/s320/Week37-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This ATC I made for a swap. I am still using the same backgrounds, I made a while back. But I only have one left now, so I need to make a new series of backgrounds soonish. I actually like how this one turned out!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vHzMWSmQrvs/UibjitPzxQI/AAAAAAAAAZM/jHAZjf6-enE/s1600/Week37-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vHzMWSmQrvs/UibjitPzxQI/AAAAAAAAAZM/jHAZjf6-enE/s320/Week37-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is another page for the Summer Sketch course. Can you see how my color palette slowly is changing to autumn? The theme was mask it off, but it is not done yet. I left some space for text, but now I am not sure what to write and the page doesn't feel finished over all.<br />
<br />
Well this afternoon I am going to shop with my mom for school supplies, which in my case means creative supplies :D So my time to desk hop today is limited. But I will try to visit some :)<br />

<br />
These are actually this pictures I wanted to show last week. But it was one day before my departure to the convention I was organizing so I realised I wouldn't have any time to make visits to other blogs. Therefore I decided to just post it this week. Good thing too, because I wasn't able to do anything creative at all this week.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JBRSbgcsIRk/Uh3KAtIM4LI/AAAAAAAAAXY/dQjvABOTpHM/s1600/Week35-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JBRSbgcsIRk/Uh3KAtIM4LI/AAAAAAAAAXY/dQjvABOTpHM/s320/Week35-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I bought this stamp on Etsy. But I haven't used it yet. I do hope I can do that this week :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ixtNoPmtyYU/Uh3KAjQz0ZI/AAAAAAAAAXc/xiDzhMFWmgU/s1600/Week35-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ixtNoPmtyYU/Uh3KAjQz0ZI/AAAAAAAAAXc/xiDzhMFWmgU/s320/Week35-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Every few months I make a new stash of envelopes for snail mail from magazine pages. I was almost out, so I spend some time making these :) It is very relaxing to make these and I think it is always handy to have a stash of them ready :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k8_8zhvKqb0/Uh3KAombpxI/AAAAAAAAAXg/dKiSx6ojE_s/s1600/Week35-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k8_8zhvKqb0/Uh3KAombpxI/AAAAAAAAAXg/dKiSx6ojE_s/s320/Week35-03.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I only did one page for the Summer Sketch course last week. I choose the assignment draw and repeat. Because I could work on it in small bits at the time. I made some progress pictures after I finished a phase. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_deAVGAPmdo/Uh3KBc0a55I/AAAAAAAAAXo/zXWY7xHy0_s/s1600/Week35-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_deAVGAPmdo/Uh3KBc0a55I/AAAAAAAAAXo/zXWY7xHy0_s/s320/Week35-04.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nyMPvfRX2tM/Uh3KBV_4j6I/AAAAAAAAAX8/pXnm0KpVzJE/s1600/Week35-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nyMPvfRX2tM/Uh3KBV_4j6I/AAAAAAAAAX8/pXnm0KpVzJE/s320/Week35-05.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xqu-tVzxpko/Uh3KBs6ZEOI/AAAAAAAAAX0/XFn09U2wsBA/s1600/Week35-06.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xqu-tVzxpko/Uh3KBs6ZEOI/AAAAAAAAAX0/XFn09U2wsBA/s320/Week35-06.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And this was it for last week. I hope to get back to my creative ways this week. If only for a little while :) I have some ideas, and I have learned that I am fine doing little things in between. While the Summer Sketch class is officially over. I have unlimited access, so I will keep working on some more pages until school starts 3 weeks from now. Then I have to be creative on demand again. I can tell you, these pages are good to keep the creativity flowing without adding too much pressure. I must find time in between school work to do my own things :)<br />

<br />
Not too much to see this week. More than ever I am squeezing in some creative time each day. I also made 2 snail mails, but I forgot to take pictures and now they are in the mail already. Anyway, the only thing I manage to do this week were 2 pages for the Summer Sketch course. I hope that after the next two weeks, I will have more time to create again. But Abunai!, the yearly Japanese culture convention I am co-organizing is approaching fast so my creative time is very limited.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ohQZoiGxjQE/UgsxSS4AlmI/AAAAAAAAAWM/I-NcYHBv438/s1600/Week33-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ohQZoiGxjQE/UgsxSS4AlmI/AAAAAAAAAWM/I-NcYHBv438/s320/Week33-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the going small assignment, where we had to fill small spaces with different things. I used as my theme, things from daily life. Like my pets, what I ate and did.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ghv6fBDy35c/UgsxSfJfbjI/AAAAAAAAAWQ/wyfMnQbOoPs/s1600/Week33-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ghv6fBDy35c/UgsxSfJfbjI/AAAAAAAAAWQ/wyfMnQbOoPs/s320/Week33-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is a free write exercise with as prompt "things you love about Summer. I liked to do this and the result is so cheerful :)<br />
<br />
Well that is it for the week. I will be hopping desks now.<br />

The dog we got last week, is still eating most of my time, but I did manage to do a lot last Sunday, because I put my BF on dog duty ;) The rest I just did in between :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Last week I made 1 large bases paper for some ATCs, and this week I continued with that :)<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I just doodled over some watercolor and used some extra things on some of them. The flower is already in the mail for a swap, and the birds will probably fly off to some penpals of mine. I have 3 more ATC backgrounds laying around from this series, so I might make more next week.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fUtssZayE4I/UgHtNynftyI/AAAAAAAAAU4/PhjYgdU_20o/s1600/Week32-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fUtssZayE4I/UgHtNynftyI/AAAAAAAAAU4/PhjYgdU_20o/s320/Week32-05.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This week I also made 2 pages for the Summer Sketch course by Alisa Burke. This was start with a splat.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kv-EqJcD43U/UgHtOc-C59I/AAAAAAAAAU8/jCo1V4HI4pw/s1600/Week32-06.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kv-EqJcD43U/UgHtOc-C59I/AAAAAAAAAU8/jCo1V4HI4pw/s320/Week32-06.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
And this is the space between page, where we have to color the inbetween space instead of the main subject. But honestly, I liked the B&W version better. At least I was able to use all those doodle flower pins on Pinterest for inspiration :) Have a good week you all!<br />

<br />
This week I worked mainly on the Summer Sketch course by Alisa Burke that I am taking. But I haven't done as much as I would have liked. The reason for that is at the end of this post ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0oGJh_LdUD4/Ufjd6j1mfFI/AAAAAAAAATw/DjVYJ4Nx1bc/s1600/Week31-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0oGJh_LdUD4/Ufjd6j1mfFI/AAAAAAAAATw/DjVYJ4Nx1bc/s320/Week31-01.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the background that I made last week and now I doodled over it with my new white permanent marker. It is a bit too crowded for my taste, but it was fun to do.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eiqylBSWrg4/Ufjd6kE2XPI/AAAAAAAAATs/2UR6iMT9lvc/s1600/Week31-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eiqylBSWrg4/Ufjd6kE2XPI/AAAAAAAAATs/2UR6iMT9lvc/s320/Week31-02.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
This is the embellish a line assignment. It also gave me the chance to finally try some of those Zentangle patterns I pinned on Pinterest :) I worked on this page off and on for a whole day. It is fun to do in between. There are a lot more assignments waiting for me, and I can only hope to find the time to do more of them :) <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JAHDxrQDt8g/Ufjd6tdIJoI/AAAAAAAAAT0/36X0VNdV6kE/s1600/Week31-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JAHDxrQDt8g/Ufjd6tdIJoI/AAAAAAAAAT0/36X0VNdV6kE/s320/Week31-03.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
For a watercolor ATC swap I made a background last night. I will probably work some more on those today. I thought I would make multiple ATC backgrounds in one go :) The results should be in next weeks post :)
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

And this is the reason why I haven't done more on the creative area in the past week. This is our new family member Rinoa. We adopted her from Bulgaria and she arrived last Sunday at our home. She requires a lot of extra attention at this point, because she needs to be socialised. But she is a real sweetheart.<br />
She was living on the streets of Bulgaria, was probably abused and they drowned her pups. She is only 1.5 years old. But she is starting to feel at home and it turns out, she is quite a mischievous one! It might be an insult to all parents, but to me it feels like we just had a baby ;) Together with the fun and frustrations. Our cats also have to get used to the new family member, and while they mostly ignore each other, not everything goes smoothly yet.<br />
