I am participating in Dewey's 24 hour read-a-thon. This is my only post for today which I will update as I am participating in more mini-challenges. To read more about the readathon and to see what books I will be reading, you can go to my post here.
Tell a bit about yourself:
1)Where are you reading from today?
From the Netherlands, Europe.
2)Three random facts about me…
Loves cookies, cupcakes and chocolate, I will sleep at some point during the read-a-thon, cats will probably accompany me.
3)How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?
7, but I won't nearly finish those ;)
4)Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?
Nope, just have fun!
5)If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time?
Pick out books that speak to you, if you struggle with a book, let it go.
Character Photo Mini Challenge
Post a photo that represents a character in your current book.
I am reading Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine and the main character has Aspergers.
Book Sentence Challenge
Flipped Luna altered hollow fields |
It was pretty hard to make a decent sentence out of my books. This is mostly because I don't even own that many books and about half of those are in Dutch... And it had to be somewhat creepy too because I really want to win the Night Circus! Making a scary sentence is really hard when you don't read thrillers or horrors!
Good luck to you with the readathon. Seven books is a huge goal. I picked 4 to read but will probably only finish 2.
ReplyDeleteHave fun today and you never know you could get all 7 read!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm stopping by from Team Trix Cheerleading Squad. That's great advice you gave the readers. We can't have you falling asleep every five minutes. Cat Naps are recommended, though! You're doing a great job. RAH RAH RAH! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteR! E! A! D!
ReplyDeleteAny book that you can see!
"If you struggle, let it go" -- that's great readathon advice. Best to get as much enjoyment out of your marathon reading session as possible! I hope you're doing just that!
Veel succes - ik hoop dat je lekker veel kunt lezen. Hier gaat het ook erg lekker!
ReplyDeleteGood luck - what great advice "If you struggle, let it go" is, not just for the readathon but for life. So many great books, why waste time with the bad ones?
ReplyDeleteI almost chose Luna for my read-a-thon pile but decided it was something I probably want to pay closer attention to. I'm on Book #4 right now, mid-way through Hour 10. Hope I can hit my goal of 10 books! And hope you're going strong!
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time constructing a sentence too and ended up giving up. Not much I could construct out of textbooks.
ReplyDeleteGood luck today!
Mockingbird was a good books. Hope your reading is going as planned.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Marina Endicott's novel; if you get to that one in your stack, I hope you enjoy it too. (The variety of voices in it would make for good read-a-thon-ing.) I have a good idea what snacks you've got lined up for your day of reading: they should help you along too. Keep it up: you're doing great!
ReplyDelete(I'm cheering for you from Team Trix)
I should have tried to make it here before you headed to bed! Well, when you're up again know that I sent you a bunch of Rah Rah Sis Boom Bahs. ;) Thanks for your cheering today.
