It's Monday! What are you reading? (5)

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from! Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

I finished 3 books in the past week. I wasn't feeling so well at one point in the past week so I just read for almost a day. I finished Vlinders (Butterflies) by Simone van der Vlugt, but I won't review it here because I don't think it is translated into English. I read the manga xxxHolic vol.2 and The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender (review here).

I didn't continue to read Skyward by Mary Alice Monroe and I am not sure if I will. To be honest I am not sure if I will be able to read at all this week. This is because I am 1.5 weeks away from finishing my school year and I still have a lot to do regarding that. So that will get priority. That is why I won't plan anything for this week. I will read if I have the time, but if not... I will be back reading after Wednesday June 15th, which is my last day of school :)

Do you always plan your reading schedule ahead or are you just letting go on busy weeks? Or do you make time to read no matter how busy your weeks are?

  1. I read all the time. Some days it is harder to fit it in. I know that the end of the school year is busy. Today is my last day before vacation and there are lots of things to get done. My Monday Report is here. Have a great week!

  2. Busy, busy! Good luck with the last few school days! I try to keep up with my reading/blog all the time but I do have a few reviews ready to go in case I have no time on some days. So there's always something on my blog.

  3. I usually plan my reading ahead of time if I have books for review that I have a deadline for. And I usually make time to read no matter what. That being said on crazy busy weeks like this one I plan to let go a bit and probably will not read as much as I would like.

  4. Good luck with finishing school.

I plan ahead and I always make time for reading no matter how busy I am. If I am very busy I usually just read a little before bed.

  5. I want to read that Lemon Cake book! Not just because of the title either! (Ok... the title may have something to do with it...LOL)

  6. I tried to read Lemon Cake last year I could not connect to the author's writing. I just finished reading Butterfly's Daughter by Mary Alice Monroe. It was such a rewarding and uplifting read. I don't know about her other books because this is the first one I read by her. Maybe you may be able to fit in Mary Monroe soon when you are finished with school. Good luck with school. I am in school too. But, I opted out for summer. I need to recuperate.

  7. I'm about to start volume 8 of xxxHolic.

Summer school begins for me so my reading for fun will take second place to reading for homework. So my reading for fun will have to take second place to reading for school. Come see what I finished in my last week of vacation.
