Personal opinion:
When I saw this book offered on NetGalley something inside of me just had to read this. Maybe it was because I lost my dad a few years ago, or maybe it was because I just wanted to hear a story from a single dads point of view. The book covers the life Matt had with Lizz, her pregnancy and the first year of raising Maddy alone. I was touched by the book and how Matt eventually was able to help others in similar situations. I found the book inspirational and a beautiful gift for Maddy when she is older. The book felt very raw and nothing was sugar coated, which made this feel as a truly honest book. All though I have to say that at some point I felt the story was dragging a bit. I would recommend this book to people who have been in similar situations because it might be a source of comfort and recognition. But also be prepared that it can be a heavy read.

I misunderstood the title at first glance and thought it was about that poor little girl who disappeared in Spain. Remember her?
