Illustration Friday: Layer

This weeks theme at Illustration Friday was Layer. I knew instantly what I wanted to include in my journal page for this week, but I only had time to make the page yesterday evening in bed. This crafting in bed seems to be a new trend for February since I am still sickish off and on.

I instantly was reminded of onions and layers. So when I found these happy little spring onions, I just had to include them. I actually looked up some info on onion layer theories and included one on this page, since it is a subject I want to learn more about.

I made this page in my A5 journal book (last week I used my A4) and it took me about an hour to make this page. I colored the background in different layers, to add to the theme. Colors used are light and darker green, yellow and dark red. I love the cheerful little onions and spring onions are actually the only kind of onions I eat. Anyway, so far my art journal page and don't forget to hop by some more Illustration Friday participants :)
