A while ago I came across a creative meme that is called What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. It is all about showing what is going on on your workdesk and is hosted by Julia from Stamping Ground. I really like participating, because it is an easy way to show you what I have been working on, and it is fun to visit some other participants :)
Last week I didn't participate, because I was at the museum looking at an art expo. No pictures of that, because I am quite sure I am not allowed to put those on the web. But I saw great murals, photography, bird prints, and some other cool stuff. Time well spend :) Anyway, back to this week.
This is an apple themed snail mail I made. I sometimes love working with a theme. I made a small apple garland to send with the apple goodies I had :)
This ATC I made for a swap on swapbot. I am getting more and more comfy doing small zentangles like this. I do like ATC size best, because I am still too impatient for bigger ones. The design is inspired by this pin, so also submitting this for the Pin it and Do it Challenge :)
Yesterday was my second school day of the year and it was my first go with oil paint. We had to do the impressions like Monet. We had to bring 3 pictures with different light of the same location. This is the parc behind my apartment.
This is where I am at now, not finished yet. It will probably work more on it today and see if I can finish this.
But first, some desk hopping :)
Love that ATC - I am finding I enjoy making them more than cards nowadays and have to force myself to make cards -then I make a whole batch so I can go back to ATCs!!
ReplyDeleteLove what you're doing with the painting - very interesting - thanks for sharing.

I have not tried Zentangle yet, but yours is love. Love how vibrant the background is too. Your piece of the park is lovely. You wouldn't think it was the first classes in your semester. Just lovely. I love Monet's work, and you captured it in your piece great! Winnie#73
ReplyDeleteI love that you create themed mail, the apples are great.
ReplyDeleteLove your paintings too, they are really clever.
Thanks for stopping by earlier.

Your oil painting is pretty amazing for just your 2nd day. I'm amazed you got so far. Very impressive.
ReplyDeleteHave fun completing it!

Your Monet pics are beautiful - there is something really appealing in Monet isn't there. I have 2 pics on my wall that my daughter did at school - the bridge at Givenchy and Venice - I love them.
ReplyDeleteLove your paintings. Thank you for visiting.

The apples look like fun! I love the ATC. What a good idea to start with small zentangles. I have always been rather daunted by a blank page. perhaps I should start small. Kate x #61
ReplyDeleteI am not patient either. Your zentangle ATC is great! Peg R 103
ReplyDeleteI like the green zentangle. I have no experience with oil paints at all, so will be interested to see how you finish your painting. I'd also like to see a photo of the park, it looks like a cool place to hang out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! Helen

ReplyDeleteWow! What great projects! The Monet one looks really promising! I've seen pictures on the web of art from museums. Sometimes they don't mind because it's good advertising! I used to do a lot of swapping with swapbot. Such a lot of fun! But it also stressed me out! :^) Patsy from

I love your apple theme (I live in the west country in the UK, home to apples and the drink of the gods, Cider!) and your zentangle too.
