WOYWW: My end of the year presentation

A while ago I came across a creative meme that is called What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. It is all about showing what is going on on your workdesk and is hosted by Julia from Stamping Ground. I really like participating, because it is an easy way to show you what I have been working on, and it is fun to visit some other participants :)

Last time I told you it was one week until my school presentation. I follow an art education and each year we close the year by a day of presentations. This year I had chosen to show my series of pictures and I made a free form painting around the word that marked my progress this year. From the latter I have some WIP pictures from beginning till end.

First I made a base from magazine clippings, glued on canvas. For the top layer I choose some words that would suit the painting.

Then I taped on some cardboard letters. The word showing equals mindfulness. I sprayed some colored ink on the paper. Next time I would need to tape the letters on better, but I am not sure how yet. It needs to come off later ;)

Then in added some more coloring using different techniques with colored ink. Next time I need to be more careful with drops near the letters.

Here I removed the cardboard letters and outlined them. I added some images and doodles as well.

And finally I added a transparent layer of glue to seal everything. In the past year I spend my time mainly working on techniques. So for the last painting I wanted to let that all go, and work freeform. But still, it is impossible to let it all go. I never worked with colored ink like this before, and again I did spend some time on techniques, but not as much.

Sometimes I just need to play and let the ADHD part in me take over. I realise this painting is crowded, but if you watch closer, you see all the details that are purposely placed in the painting. I am quite happy with it :)

This was my table at school. We all had to decorate a table like this to showcase some of our work. I love to arrange tables like these :)

And my certificate for completing the 2nd year!
Now I have summer vacation. I still have creative plans of course. I am not going to do nothing in the next 3 months, that would be a waste. But, first I need to clean my workspace ;) I already started on it, but it seems like a multiple week project ;)
