WOYWW - Some weeks of snail mail

A while ago I came across a creative meme that is called What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. It is all about showing what is going on on your workdesk and is hosted by Julia from Stamping Ground. I really like participating, because it is an easy way to show you what I have been working on, and it is fun to visit some other participants :) I have not participated for a few weeks, but during that time I did work on things.

Today I will show you some things I sent to my pen pals. I have been doing things for school as well, but I will save that for another time. Those pictures need to be branded and I haven't been motivated to do that yet. The pictures of my snail mail have been made just with my phone, and because they are just of the things I made to send out, I don't care so much if they are copied. With the pictures I did for school lately, that is a different case.

I have been inspired by nature lately. It must be because I am spending lots of time outside in nature. So I am really enjoying making mail packages with a theme lately. Ducks are always fun, I think :)

I also wanted to make a fox themed envelope to go with the awesome stamps I have. And I found a cute card with it too.

I also made this spring themed one from magazine clippings. In the bags are little seeds :)

A home made card that fits nicely with the envelope. Look at the stamp again :) I love to make matching envelopes with the stamps I have.

Another spring themed one, thise time with only yellow and green colors. On top there is already a sneak peek from my work in nature ;)

I made this blue bird mail, for a bird lover. Again from magazine clippings :) I love how these all go so well together :)

Lastly this is a bird and flower themed ATC that I made for a swap. I love working in this mini collage style.
Well that is it for this time :) I think I showed quite a lot :) Hopefully I find the motivation to work on the pictures some time next week, but I won't guarantee it. I am still in my "I do whatever I feel like" phase blog wise. I find it very relaxing this way :)

WOYWW - new stuff, teacups and tulips

A few weeks ago I came across a creative meme that is called What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. It is all about showing what is going on on your workdesk and is hosted by Julia from Stamping Ground. I really like participating, because it is an easy way to show you what I have been working on, and it is fun to visit some other participants :)

This week I have some random bits and pieces and I will show you what I made at school last week.

I added some new bits and pieces to my snailmail stash. I went for the owl washi tape, but also ordered some new address labels, stickers and gift bags. They were too cute to pass. I bought these at Vlinders in je buik.

This is a part of a tea cup and pot related swap I made this week. I really liked making these tea related goodies :) I always love how nice mail turns out when it is all in one theme :)

This is the work I made at school last week. It is in the zen theme and made with pastels. There were tables in the middle of the classroom with flowers and other nature pieces on there. The assignment was not about painting the perfect flowers, but to look at the colors and work from there. Look where it is dark, where it is light and work from there. The next step was to bring something abstract into the piece to make it more interesting. I thought it was a very fun assignment :) I love working with pastels, and from all the materials I work with, I am best with these. All though acrylics are also fun, as is working with clay. As you can see my desk is quite messy, but I had to shove my things to the sides to make room for the piece so I could take the picture :)

I am currently working on assignments away from the desk. Because we have to work outside this time, but more on that next week :)

Project 365 - Sunday till Tuesday

3 more project pictures ^^

Photobucket

I got new small pansy's from Marks parents. They hang on the balcony now and I like them very much ^^

Photobucket

A picture taking on my drawing course. We had to draw a trashcan frist and put all our things in it that we wanted to lose. After that we had to take one feeling out the pile and with that feeling in mind draw a fantasy dragon. I was very frustrated because I still am so tired all the time. So my dragon became very angry. Then you had to switch pictures with your neighbour and add something to the dragon you would think your nieghbour could use. Since I didnt want to gave my dragon away, I took a picture first. So this is the before picture. Of course I gave it away afterwards and I was happy I did so. I also got another paper in the end to draw the rest of the body.

Yesterday I was finally able to do some cooking again. I made Japanese potato salad. It was a recipe I wanted to try for some time but I wasnt able to get Japanese mayonaise. Last sunday I got lucky though ;) And for dinner I made Italian oriented baked rice. It is a recipe I made up myself, and it was quite tasty. On the picture you see the leftovers in a bento, a Japanese lunchbox. It had been a while since I made a bento but today Mark is lucky ;)

This is one of my moms cats in the garden. I actually made a whole series from her pets and it was very hard to deceide which one I would use as my project picture.
