In the Spotlight: By Kris

As you know I share my own creative experiments here but today I wanted to share the creative projects of someone else. Kris is a woman who has really inspired me by her work. She paints and makes collages among others. She is also the founder of the Round Robin Project I am currently participating in :) I actually found her site through an ad on postcrossing. She sells a nice collection of her collage postcards online and I bought some sets from her to send across the world.

I started to read her blog too and that is how I eventually ended up in a Round Robin group. I thought she deserved some love and a big thank you for inspiring me :) I love making collages myself now, which I do on a regular base now in the notebooks from the other Round Robin participants.
Please check out the webshop By Kris. She also sells a fine collection of Ecojot products, letter sets, vintage postcards and more! I am a regular customer and she ships very fast :) For the Dutchies it might be interesting to know that Kris also gives workshops! Creative painting or pizza making for example.
Also check out her blog for inspiration and of course the Round Robin blog :)

The Round Robin Notebook Project

Today I want to tell you all a bit about a project I have been following for a while. It is a Dutch blog about a Round Robin Notebook. They have groups of eight people that each mail a notebook and they travel from person to person for 16 weeks total. Each person fills 6 to ten pages in each notebook in a creative way. They blog about this for a while now and it is really inspiring to see all the little sneak peeks they post. The next round starts in March but sadly I was too late to sign up. Hopefully I can make it into the September group.

In the mean time for the people who aren't part of the project, various Round Robin envelops have started to travel. These envelopes are filled with crafting supplies and you can take some stuff out and then add some supplies from your own and send it to the next person. Last week I found this envelope in my mailbox and it was so much fun :)

This is the stuff I took out of the envelope. Some might recognise the cute bunny that is used on my calendar pages :) I thought it was so awesome that I signed up for another round :) For the people that are curious now, you can read all about it on the Round Robin Notebook Blog :) It is in Dutch though.

It is Valentine!

To me Valentine's Day isn't anything really special, but I don't hate it either. And today I do want to share some fun stuff that is Valentine related.

Last Saturday, I found an early Valentine's Greeting from my mom in my mailbox. She sends me a card every year. This used to frustrate me when I was a teenager. "Oh it is just a card from you, mom?!" I hoped to get a card from a cute guy, but that didn't really happen too often ;) Only when I was 12, and then again at 16. But my mom sends me a card every single year. Since I love owls, I got this cute owl card together with crocheted owls :)

Other then this, I ran into a very pretty mandala today on Susanna's blog; Susi-Art. She has made a beautiful mandala that screams Spring. With a very pretty text as well. I suggest you go there and take a look yourself :) You won't be disappointed. She also makes very cute cards and does a lot of crafting. I love to follow her blog :)

Bloghopping!

I have found this bloghop with all kinds of crafty people! I think it is great for inspiration to read blogs of others and what better way to do this then through a bloghop?

Have fun!
